Seuraava kenkäparini voisi olla ála Terhi Pölkki. Niissä kun on jotain hyvin tuttua, mutta samalla yksinkertaisuus, kauniit värit ja modernit vivahteet iskevät skandinaaviseen silmääni.
My next shoes could be made by Terhi Pölkki. There is something familiar and at the same time simplicity, fair colours and modern nuance strikes to my scandinavian eye.
"Finnish born, Terhi Pölkki holds a MA
degree in footwear design from Cordwainers at London College of Fashion
(2008) in London. Her final collection was made of ecological Finnish
reindeer leather and the collection was widely noticed as the first and
new innovative way of using reindeer leather in shoes. Her MA final
collection was chosen as a finalist in the prestigious, International
ITS#7 competition hosted in Italy 2008 and Terhi was awarded Shoe
Designer of the Year 2008 in Finland.
After working for UK premium brands in
London, she decided to launch her first collection under her name. Her
SS12 collection is made of high quality ecological vegetan leather and
manufacturers are based in Portugal and Finland.
Terhi's design embraces Scandinavian
minimalism, femininity and practicality. The main focus is design,
combined with ecological and high quality materials. For Terhi, shoes
are objects with a story."
"Hand-crafted, authentic and feminine are
the key words for the SS12 collection. Summery lightness with features
like two-tone looks, hand-stitched effects and raw edge finishing are
found on flat lace-ups, ankle boots, and platforms. The collection
consists also range of good old classic clog styles with a fresh and
contemporary look.
The colours stand for modernity. Tan, black
and old rose whet the appetite for summer and feature not only on their
own but also in the form of colour blocking and stripe
details. Modernity and freshness feature in the SS12 collection colours
and light, flowing silhouettes."

No niinpä muuten onkin tuttua. Muistuttavat aika paljon Swedish hasbeenseja. Tykkään myös.
